I joined an association which is very active in keeping WWII history alive. This association made it possible to meet a lot of WWII veterans and I attended lots of battlefield tours with them telling us their stories. These stories we have heard first hand are part of our presentation and to share these on tour gives us great pleasure so we can honor the memory as the years go by. This decade we are in transition from remembering to history, and sharing these stories will keep the memory alive of “The Greatest Generation”!

Before being a D-Day tour guide in Normandy and having Bayeux Sightseeing Tours, I attended the jump school of “WWII Airborne Demonstration Team”, based in Frederick Oklahoma, USA. There I learned to jump. It was as close as I could get to the real experience of a WWII paratrooper. Today I'm still a qualified parachutist, jumping form a WWII C-47 during the festivities in the week of June 6th every year.

I moved to Sainte Mère Église and established Bayeux Sightseeing tours after I had been visiting the Normandy invasion beaches numerous times over the years to build on my knowledge and to see firsthand where and how the events happened here on the beaches. I established Bayeux Sightseeing Tours to give our clients information and an enjoyable experience walking the ground that those brave soldiers fought, over our most precious good: Freedom!

You will be very comfortable joining Bayeux Sightseeing Tours in our spacious 9-seater van (guide + a maximum of up to 8 D-Day enthusiasts). As Bayeux Sightseeing Tours want to keep her groups small and as personal as possible, Bayeux Sightseeing Tours does not operate the 18-seaters or even larger vehicles!

• On board PA system. While on the move towards the invasion beaches, we will give lots of information about D-Day, the area, and tell you personal stories of veterans we met over the years. Of course you will have plenty of time to ask your Bayeux Sightseeing Tour guide questions, which we are happy to answer if we can. Bayeux Sightseeing Tours uses an on board PA system; wherever you are seated, everyone will be able to hear what we are saying.
• Stay connected with Bayeux Sightseeing Tours free onboard WIFI. Bayeux Sightseeing Tours is able to connect up to 10 devices at the same time while cruising the Normandy invasion Beaches! You will be able to upload your experience to Facebook or other social media in real time! For executives, or just workaholics, there are all day possibilities to check and answer e-mails.

Of course safety first! Bayeux Sightseeing Tours meets all European legal standards and requirements.

We do not have room for your luggage, to store or take it during the tour, other than our private tours.

• Unfortunately we are only able to take foldable wheelchairs on our transportation.
• Booster seats are available for children under 8 years old (legal requirement). We will only take children under 8 years old on our private tours.
